     Michael Smith, owner of MSmith Consulting, has been involved in the IT industry for almost 20 years, his first exposure was with a personal computer using an Intel 286DX20 and DOS 3.3.  Hardware support followed, working for firms that provided technical support for the State of Tennessee and other governmental entities.  Progressing on to work in both the government sector with Nashville's own Circuit Court Clerk's office and private companies mainly involved in the health care industry, Michael has evolved and grown, moving into positions of CIO, Director of Infrastructure and Network Administrator.  Industry certifications while obviously showcasing his skills, do not reveal all the facets of troubleshooting and problem solving abilities at his command, current certifications include MCSE 2003, VCP, MCTS SharePoint Services et.al.  Michael continues his training, remaining current on technologies that are of value to his customers.
